BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 24. Tajikistan exported 1 ton of nitrogen fertilizers for $1,200 to Kyrgyzstan in 2022, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the committee, the figure decreased by almost 77 percent from 2021, when Tajik exports to Kyrgyzstan amounted to 4.3 tons worth $3,700.
In total, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan amounted to $5 million from January through December 2022, which is a significant decrease of 82 percent from 2021 ($27 million).
In the reporting period, the value of exports from Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan stood at $3.3 million. The figure decreased by 86 percent from $23 million in 2021.
At the same time, during the period, Kyrgyzstan imports from Tajikistan decreased by 59 percent, and amounted to $1.7 million from $4.1 million in 2021.
