BAKU, Azerbaijan, April, 19. A total of 576,000 or two batches of eggs were exported for the first time from the Russian Belgorod region to Tajikistan in the first quarter of 2023, Trend reports with reference to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor).

Rosselkhoznadzor said that all exported products met the requirements of the country of destination, and their quality and safety were tested in accredited laboratories.

Furthermore, almost a ton of honey, spread, mayonnaise, and eggs were exported from the Belgorod region to Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Romania from January through March 2023.

In addition, in the reporting period, more than 2,000 tons of meat products (poultry and pork) were sent to China, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and other countries.

Overall, 62,900 tons of 1,736 batches of livestock products were exported from the region from January through March 2023, which is 200 batches more than in the same period of 2022.

The products are exported by 58 enterprises (48 manufacturers and 10 traders) of the region. The recipients are 27 countries.

Meanwhile, according to the statistics, Tajikistan's foreign trade turnover from January through March 2023 amounted to about $1.6 billion, which is 5.8 percent or $98 million less than in the same period in 2022.

The country's main trading partners remained Russia (23.7 percent of Tajikistan’s foreign trade), China (20.8 percent), and Kazakhstan (19.6 percent).
