BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. State Savings Bank of Tajikistan Amonatbank and China Development Bank (CDB) plan to sign a memorandum on establishment of two credit lines for the Tajik bank in May 2023, Trend reports citing Amonatbank.
This was stated following the meeting of Chairman of the Board of Amonatbank Ikromi Sirojiddin with Wang Weidong, vice president of CDB in Goa (India) on April 27. The event took place as a part of the council meeting of the Interbank Consortium of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
Chairman of Tajik bank said that CDB is one of the most important and reliable partners of Amonatbank.
In turn, Vice President of the Chinese bank commended on the joint cooperation and noted that Amonatbank has a good history of relations with CDB.
The cooperation between Amonatbank and CDB dates back to 2008, the year when Amonatbank joined the Interbank Consortium of SCO.
Over these years, Amonatbank and CDB have signed more than 8 credit agreements with various funds for the development of small and medium-sized businesses and a memorandum of understanding on the retraining of bank employees in prestigious universities of China.
