BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 19. Cooperation between Tajikistan and South Korea is increasingly expanding in various economic sectors, as indicated by the presence of joint industrial ventures in the cities of Dushanbe and Bokhtar, Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of Tajikistan Sadi Qodirzoda said, Trend reports.
The remark was made within the framework of the entrepreneurial investment forum of Tajikistan and South Korea in Dushanbe.
“The primary goals of the event include attracting investors and entrepreneurs from South Korea to Tajikistan's economy, enhancing cooperation in key economic sectors, presentation of Tajikistan's investment climate and opportunities, expanding trade relations between the two countries, and promoting the establishment of joint industrial enterprises in both Tajikistan and South Korea,” he said.
At the event, the representatives of Tajikistan and South Korea discussed strengthening trade and economic cooperation, collaboration in industry, energy, tourism fields, attracting capital, developing entrepreneurship, and establishing joint industrial enterprises. It was noted that Tajikistan and South Korea still have untapped opportunities, and their exploiting in the future will benefit the both countries.
As part of the forum, bilateral meetings were conducted in the business-to- business (B2B) format, and agreements were signed between the investment and business communities of Tajikistan and South Korea to enhance cooperation.
Furthermore, the Korean delegation has plans to visit manufacturing enterprises and industrial zones of Tajikistan within the framework of the forum.
The forum was organized at the initiative of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan in collaboration with the Embassy of South Korea. Over 150 Tajik and Korean entrepreneurs and investors participated in the event.
