Tajikistan's Amonatbank reports growth in provided loans

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, October 19. Tajikistan’s Amonatbank (the State Savings Bank) provided loans to more than 42,000 clients from January through September 2023, which is 11.9 percent more than the same period in 2022, Trend reports.

The loans provided by the bank amounted to 1.4 billion somoni ($127.3 million), which is a 21.3 percent increase year-on-year.

The savings of both individuals and legal entities in Amonatbank totaled around 5 billion somoni ($454.8 million) as of the end of September 2023, which is 35.2 percent more than in the same period of 2022.

Additionally, the bank's assets amounted to 6.6 billion somoni ($600 million) from January through June 2023. The bank's capital reached 783 million somoni ($71 million), showing a 29.1 percent year-on-year increase.

Amonatbank operated a network of 75 branches and 548 banking service centers in the first half of 2023, employing over 3,000 staff members across all regions of the country.

During this time, the bank provided services to approximately 13,000 businesses and organizations, as well as more than 789,000 pensioners, including retired law enforcement personnel. Additionally, it served over 1.9 million depositors.

Amonatbank collaborated with 16 foreign banks using 48 correspondent accounts as of the end of June 2023.
