DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, October 31. The new cooperative arrangement necessitates an increase in economic turnover between Belarus and Tajikistan of at least 2-3 times, Trend reports.

This statement was delivered by Tajikistan's Ambassador to Belarus, Bakhtovar Safarzoda, at a meeting with Belarus's House of Representatives Chairman, Vladimir Andreichenko.

Both participants agreed that the current trade turnover between the two countries falls short of the potential.

"Establishing a Tajikistan Trading House in Minsk is one of the proposals that would contribute to a significant increase in trade turnover and financial-economic cooperation." Conversations and conversations about this are already taking place at the proper level, according to the ambassador.

Andreichenko, in turn, emphasized that the trade turnover for 2022 amounted to $78 million, which is, a relatively small figure.

He also pointed out that there are numerous projects, and it is crucial to take specific directions and projects under control.

"I consider the most critical issue at the moment is to monitor the implementation of the road map for bilateral cooperation for 2022-2026, signed by the heads of our countries in Dushanbe. The roadmap encompasses all the areas of collaboration," he said.

According to him, Tajikistan and Belarus are keen on enhancing their trade and economic cooperation.
