DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, December 8. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) have commenced the implementation of a new five-year project aimed at developing inclusive early childhood education in Tajikistan, amounting to $7.5 million, Trend reports.
The new project aims to help the Tajikistan government enhance school readiness by providing modern, inclusive, student-centered early childhood education. It will encompass over 200 early childhood education centers nationwide and will cater to all children, including those with disabilities.
"As we initiate this project, let's be guided by the principle that education knows no boundaries. It's a universal right that expands opportunities, enlightens, and enriches lives. Achieving success in early childhood education, as in any form of education, requires more than just a curriculum. It necessitates our commitment to fully unlocking the potential of every child - regardless of their background, abilities, or circumstances," US Ambassador to Tajikistan, Manuel Micaller, emphasized during the launch of this project.
The US government, through USAID, has been assisting the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan in modernizing the education system for over 20 years.
