DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, December 22. Kazakhstan's overall investment in Tajikistan reached $15 million at the end of the first half of 2023, comprising three active projects, Trend reports.
According to the most recent Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) data, the Kazakhstani-Tajik Grain Company is the largest investment project, with the goal of expanding grain production in Tajikistan.
"The level of investment cooperation between Kazakhstan, Moldova, and Tajikistan remains low. Kazakhstan is an investor, with a total FDI volume of $114 million in these nations, $99 million of which is dedicated for the construction of gas stations in Moldova by the "KazMunayGas" company," EDB said.
In Tajikistan, Kazakhstan is the single investor exporter, as no investments flow from Tajikistan to Kazakhstan.
Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) from the Eurasian region into Tajikistan totaled $680 million in the first half of 2023. The EDB denotes the Eurasian region for the following countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.
