DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, March 19. Azerbaijan’s imports from Tajikistan reached $131,690 from January through February 2024, constituting 0.01 percent of Azerbaijan’s total imports, Trend reports.
The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan reported that this figure surged by 40.2 times compared to $3,270 in the same months of 2023.
Exports from Azerbaijan to Tajikistan from January through February 2024 amounted to $206,880, which is a 74.8 percent decrease compared to $821,320 in the corresponding months of 2023.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan in 2023 amounted to $6.1 million, which accounted for 0.1 percent of Azerbaijan's total foreign trade turnover with CIS countries. This trade turnover between the two countries increased by 2.98 percent compared to 2022 ($5.9 million).
Azerbaijan's exports to Tajikistan in 2023 totaled $5 million, which is a decrease of 13.9 percent compared to 2022. Azerbaijan's imports from Tajikistan in 2023 amounted to $1.1 million, which was more than 8.13 times the level of 2022.
Additionally, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover from January through February 2024 increased by 0.77 percent, or $55.2 million, compared to the same period in 2023, from $7.17 billion to $7.22 billion.
