Tajikistan shares data on dried fruits exports from Sughd region

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, May 15. About 30,000 tons of dried fruits, valued at $12 million, were exported from the Sughd region of Tajikistan from January through April 2024, Trend reports.

According to the regional authority, industrial enterprises in the region's Isfara city have made a significant contribution to the export of processed dried fruits. For example, Isfara Food Company exported over 778 tons of dried fruits abroad in the first four months of this year.

Meanwhile, agricultural production in the Sughd region of Tajikistan reached 1.718 billion somoni ($157.603 million) from January through April 2024, the figure increased by 10 percent compared to the same period in 2023.

According to the Statistical Agency of Tajikistan, 222,521 tons of fruits were produced in the Sughd region in 2023, including 157,200 tons of apricots.
