DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 27. Tajikistan has officially established diplomatic relations with Namibia, Trend reports via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
The joint communiqué was signed by Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Namibia's Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Peya Mushelenga, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The foreign ministers emphasized the importance of developing bilateral and multilateral relations between Tajikistan and Namibia, noting that this new partnership undoubtedly opens up additional opportunities for both countries.
Over the past 30 years, Tajikistan has established diplomatic and friendly relations with more than 180 countries worldwide and has become a full-fledged member of 57 international and regional organizations.
