DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, February 19. The value of industrial production in Tajikistan's Dushanbe in 2024 reached 5.2 billion somoni ($476 million), the First Deputy Mayor of Dushanbe, Bakhtiyor Sharifi said during a press conference, Trend reports.
According to Sharifi, the production volume increased by 824 million somoni ($75.4 million), or 25 percent, compared to 2023.
He specified that in the mining industry, the production value amounted to 90.4 million somoni ($8.2 million), which is a 24 percent increase year-on-year. The manufacturing industry produced goods worth 3.3 billion somoni ($302 million), a 13 percent growth.
In the energy supply, gas, steam, and air purification field, the growth was 34 percent, reaching 1.7 billion somoni ($155 million). The water supply, waste treatment, and recycling sector saw a significant increase of 44 percent, reaching 81 million somoni ($7.4 million).
Tajikistan's industrial output totaled 53.8 billion somoni ($4.9 billion) in 2024, which is 20 percent more than in 2023 at constant prices.
