Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov ordered the establishment of better conditions for war veterans and said that they will spend a month free at the Bayram-Ali sanatorium in the Mary province.
He said at the last government meeting that, "war veterans must always feel the active care of the state," national TV channel Altyn Asir reported.
Reconstructions of the sanatorium must be completed by early May.
A concert will be organized in honor of the inauguration and the Victory Festival of Veterans.
At the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the "Great Victory" over fascism, World War II veterans will be able to use all modes of transport free of charge.
"The Turkmen state will continue to show concern for its heroic compatriots," Berdimuhammedov said.
