President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has made new appointments in the government, the Turkmen government announced Saturday.
Sapardurdy Toylyev is appointed as Deputy Prime Minister for science, advanced technology and innovative issues and relieved of his duties as chairman of State Committee for Tourism and Sport.
At the same time Toylyev will also serve as Chairman of the Turkmenistan's Extraordinary Commission for fighting the spread of diseases.
Ferhat Arjanov, who until now served as deputy chairman of State Committee for Tourism and Sport is appointed as the Committee's chairman.
Gurban Mezilov, who until now served as Deputy Prime Minister for science, advanced technology and innovative issues has been relieved of his duties and will serve as head of the Turkmen Academy of Sciences.
