President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the Rules of the road corresponding to international standards, official Turkmen source said.
The document was signed "to ensure traffic safety and effectiveness of measures to prevent road traffic accidents, as well as bringing the legislation of Turkmenistan on the traffic in line with international standards.
The old standards were established in 2003.
