Ashgabat, Beijing develop optimal formula of inter-state relations

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party, Secretary of Political and Legislative Committee of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, Zhou Yongkang, the Turkmen government said on Tuesday. He conveyed greetings from Chinese president Hu Jintao.

'Today Beijing and Ashgabat have developed the most optimal formula of inter-state relations which combines the similarity of the tasks given the national interests of each side and the mentality of the Turkmen and Chinese people', the media said.

President Berdimuhamedov conveyed similar wishes to his Chinese counterpart.
Yongkang pointed out that China appreciates a constructive dialogue. The Turkmen leader has stressed strategic partnership. He has urged for expanding cooperation in the fuel energy, construction, finance, transport and communication, textile and chemical spheres.

Yongkang has stressed the attractiveness of the Turkmen market created due to the investment climate and state support for foreign business.

He added that this fact was confirmed by representatives of Chinese companies working in Turkmenistan, namely, the CNPC Corporation.

At present, China ranks first in the total volume of Turkmenistan's foreign trade turnover.
"China is one of Turkmenistan's long term partners in the oil and gas sector," the Turkmen president said.

According to the experts of the two countries, the volume of Turkmen gas supplied to China will reach 44 billion cubic meters from early 2010 until late 2012.
According to the new arrangements, the annual volume of fuel supplied to China will be increased to 65 billion cubic meters by connecting additional communications in the future.

Turkmen gas was supplied to the pipeline system in Guangdong Province in 2011.
