Turkmenistan appoints new ambassador to Turkey

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov signed a decree appointing Ata Serdarov as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Turkey, an official Turkmen source said on Wednesday.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov signed a decree appointing Ata Serdarov as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Turkey, an official Turkmen source said on Wednesday.

By another decree Serdarov was dismissed as Turkmen Ambassador to Armenia in connection with his transfer to another job.

Turkish companies implement more than 1,270 investment projects in Turkmenistan. They include more than 1200 projects worth more than $15 billion and 26 projects worth over two billion euros, 26 projects worth over 56 billion manat and other projects.

Ankara has expressed interest in the delivery of the Caspian energy to Europe through the Caspian Sea and Turkey. Ashgabat involves Turkish companies in the construction of the Caspian Sea resort Avaza.
