Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, Aug. 3
By Huseyn Hasanov - Trend:
From September 21, the Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) will start direct regular flights between Ukraine's Kiev and Turkmenistan's Ashgabat, said the UIA on August 3.
The new flights will operate twice a week on modern Boeing-737 aircraft with two service classes, economy and business.
Flights from Kiev to Ashgabat will be carried out on Mondays and Wednesdays, and the flights in the opposite direction will operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
"The opening of a direct regular air link between Ukraine and Turkmenistan is the next stage of expansion of the UIA's flights geography to the East," the UIA Corporate Press Secretary Yevgenia Satskaya commented.
"We are sure that the travellers from Ukraine and Europe will not miss a chance to discover the hot heart of Asia," she further said.
Satskaya added that the UIA customers from Turkmenistan will get an access to the airline's branched route network in Europe, the CIS, the US and Asia, and will actively use the new opportunities for travelling through Kiev.
