Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov has signed a decree to appoint new ministers, Turkmen Dovlet Khabarlary (TDH) state news agency said Oct.6.
The decree was signed during the meeting of Turkmenistan's State Security Council which focused on the results of activities of military and law enforcement agencies in the first nine months of 2015.
Begench Gundogdiyev was dismissed from the post of Turkmenistan's defense minister and appointed garrison commander of the naval forces of the country's armed forces, according to the decree.
Secretary of the State Security Council Yaylim Berdiev has been dismissed from the post of the minister of national security and appointed the country's new defense minister.
Guychgeldi Hojaberdiev was appointed Turkmenistan's minister of national security.
