Turkmenistan, Pakistan reach electricity supply agreement

Turkmenistan and Pakistan reached an agreement on electricity supply, Turkmen government said March 17 citing Pakistan's Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif as saying.
Nawaz Sharif made the remarks after a meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Turkmenistan's president is in Islamabad on an official visit.
Nawaz Sharif also said the two countries had previously signed a memorandum of understanding on electricity supply through Afghanistan.
Turkmenistan's electricity production was 22.5 billion kilowatt hours and electricity export to neighboring countries was 3.2 billion kilowatt hours in 2015.
