Turkmenistan cooperates with the US in the oil and gas, as well as chemical industries, computer technology, agriculture, transport, logistics and energy sphere, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen government.
Such companies as Boeing, General Electric, John Deere, Microsoft, Caterpillar, Coca-Cola and others are represented in the Turkmen market.
As of May 2018, more than 150 projects were operating in Turkmenistan, where the US capital worth more than $2.5 billion was involved.
The diplomatic relations of the two countries were established on Feb. 19, 1992. The legal base consists of 59 documents, 53 of which are interstate and intergovernmental, and 6 are interdepartmental ones.
In 2008, the US-Turkmenistan Business Council was formed.
