Turkmenistan's state budget revenue exceeds $5B

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, Dec. 7

The revenue of Turkmenistan's state budget amounted to 20.4 billion Turkmen manats ($5.8 billion) during 11 months of 2019, whereas the expenditures amounted to 19.2 billion ($5.4 billion) Turkmen manats, Turkmen Minister of Finance and Economics Batyr Bazarov said, Trend reports with reference to Turkmen government.

He made the statement during the expanded meeting of Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers.

The revenue of the Turkmen state budget is mainly formed due to such major industrial spheres as oil and gas, chemical, electricity and construction.

Areas such as agricultural complex, transport and communications, textile and food industry are being further developed at the moment.

Turkmenistan is also one of the key countries in the Central Asian regions in terms of export of natural gas, which is being supplied to China and Russia.
