President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Turkish Ambassador Togan Oral, who presented his credentials the head of state, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen Government.
An exchange of views took place on key areas of the development of interstate partnership, built on the principles of mutual benefit and long-term cooperation, the report said.
The priority areas of cooperation between the two countries included trade and economic sphere, energy, construction, textile industries, as well as transport and communication sectors.
In this context, the role of the Turkmen-Turkish intergovernmental commission and the joint business council was noted as effective mechanisms for expanding and diversifying mutually beneficial partnerships, the Turkmenistan State News Agency said.
