Turkmenistan to make efforts for long-term co-op with UAE

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and ruler of the Emirate of Dubai Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum held a telephone conversation, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

During the telephone conversation, the parties discussed aspects of interstate cooperation.

The sides noted that the strengthening of diplomatic, economic and humanitarian ties between the two countries meets the political demand and interests of both countries.

In this regard, the Turkmen side noted that every effort will be made for long-term and effective cooperation with the UAE.

The parties considered the issues of the global coronavirus pandemic. In particular, the president of Turkmenistan pointed out that in order to effectively counter the pandemic, it is necessary to combine the efforts of all countries.

Earlier, representatives of Turkmenistan and the UAE noted the high level of bilateral cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields, and also noted that they intend to strengthen cooperation in the energy, transport and environmental spheres, as well as in the chemical industry.
