UK's activity at Turkmen State Commodity Exchange in June 2020

The UK was an active participant in the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan in June, Trend reports with reference to exchange’s data.

During the first week, representatives of the UK purchased cotton yarn and colorless sheet glass from Turkmenistan.

Entrepreneurs from the UK also purchased cotton yarn, as well as dyed and jacquard terry products during the second week of the June.

In the third week, businessmen from the UK bought aviation kerosene produced at the country’s Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries.

In the fourth week of June, along with cotton yarn, the UK purchased from Turkmenistan diesel fuel and lighting kerosene manufactured at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries.

Transactions of the total amount of more than $57.8 million were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan in June.

During the reporting period, the country has registered transactions both for foreign currency and for Turkmen manat. In particular, transactions worth more than $73,369 were made in foreign currency and more than 202.3 million for Turkmen manat ($57.7 million).

The state commodity exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important agency of state regulation of export-import operations.
