Russia actively participated in the auction of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan in July 2020, Trend reports with reference to the exchange’s data.
Thus, during the first week of July, Russia purchased cotton yarn and hand-made carpet products for foreign currency on the exchange of Turkmenistan.
In the second week of July, Russia bought smooth-dyed and jacquard terry products, denim and cotton yarn also for foreign currency.
For foreign currency, entrepreneurs from Russia also purchased jacquard terry products, as well as cotton yarn on the exchange of Turkmenistan in the third week of July.
During the last week, entrepreneurs from Russia bought dyed terry products, cotton yarn, and polypropylene in Turkmenistan for foreign currency.
Transactions of the total amount of more than $57.8 million were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan in June.
During the reporting period, the country has registered transactions both for foreign currency and for Turkmen manat. In particular, transactions worth more than $73,369 were made in foreign currency and more than 202.3 million for Turkmen manat ($57.7 million).
The state commodity exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important agency of state regulation of export-import operations.
