Turkmenistan's non-oil exports grow in 9M2021

Non-oil exports of Turkmenistan increased by 50 percent in 9M2021 compared to the same period last year, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said at a government meeting, Trend reports citing the Turkmen Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

According to Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan's GDP growth in the specified period amounted to 6.2 percent. The foreign trade turnover of Turkmenistan increased by 12.3 percent compared to 9M2020 and exceeded $9 billion.

During the reporting period, Turkmen exports increased by 20 percent compared to 9M2020 - up to $6 billion.

The head of state noted that 62 large facilities have been commissioned in Turkmenistan since the beginning of the year, against the target of 30.

Also, Berdimuhamedov said that in 9M2021, 500,000 square meters of housing were commissioned in Turkmenistan, and today 2,500 large objects are under construction for a total of $35 billion.
