Weekly review of trading at Turkmenistan's commodity exchange

Trend:

The total amount of transactions in foreign currency at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan for the last week exceeded $15.9 million (against over 27.3 million in the previous week), Trend reports on Oct.18 referring to Turkmenportal.

Businessmen from the UK and UAE bought low-sulfur furnace mazut, produced at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, for foreign currency.

Moreover, businessmen from the mentioned countries, as well as Turkey and Afghanistan bought cars of different marks, float sheet glass, cotton yarn and vegetables for foreign currency.

As for the local Turkmen currency, the UAE businessmen purchased cotton yarn for the equivalent of over $1.8 million.

In total, nine transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
