Turkmenistan launches production of filament lamps

Turkmenistan’s Abat sekil enterprise began producing filament lamps under the Gork brand in Ashgabat, Trend reports on Oct.27 via Turkmenportal.

The enterprise, where the Chinese-made equipment is installed, is currently producing four types of filament lamps, 100,000 pieces per month, and upon reaching full capacity, the monthly output will amount to 300,000-400,000 lamps.

Besides, Abat sekil is conducting negotiations over the products export.

In the future, the company plans to switch to European equipment, which will allow manufacture filament yarns with domestically made LEDs.

Filament lamps are a synthesis of the best qualities of incandescent lamps and LED lamps. They use 10 times less electricity than conventional lamps and are mercury free. Their glass bulb is stronger than in conventional diode lamps, it doesn’t overheat and can be used for a long time.

Within the framework of the program to improve the employment sector and create new jobs in Turkmenistan for 2015-2020, about 111,000 new jobs were created in the country, including 75 percent in the private sector, which accounts for nearly 70 percent of Turkmenistan's GDP.
