BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 6. Turkmenistan continues to actively plant trees, Trend reports citing Turkmenportal.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Esenmyrat Orazgeldyev, during the online cabinet meeting, reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov that to date ministries and departments, heads of administrations of regions and the city of Ashgabat planted 1.6 million trees.
Tree planting is aimed at supporting global efforts to achieve the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions that cause climate change. Also, the care of these seedlings is organized.
Furthermore, millions of trees are planted in Turkmenistan every year.
