BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 9. The total amount of transactions at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to about $48.8 million last week, Trend reports via “Business Turkmenistan” news agency.
Entrepreneurs from the UAE, Turkey and UK purchased gasoline, hydrotreated diesel fuel, aviation kerosene and liquefied gas produced by the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries (TCOR) and representatives of business communities from Turkey, UAE, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan purchased polyethylene.
Businessmen from the India purchased cotton yarn in the amount of 1.1 million Turkmen manats ($314,000).
Entrepreneurs from Turkmenistan for the local market purchased high-density polyethylene and handmade carpets for a total amount of about 18.4 million Turkmen manat ($5.2 million).
A total of 49 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
