BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18. Turkmenistan will receive two batches of agricultural machinery equipped with telematics sensors from John Deere company by the end of 2022, Trend reports citing Orient news.

This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for the agro-industrial complex of Turkmenistan Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev to the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a government meeting.

Previously, John Deere's agricultural machinery equipped with a telematics system was delivered to Turkmenistan in March 2020. This system provides an opportunity to conduct online monitoring of the location, fuel consumption, actual operating time and other parameters of agricultural machines from a single control center in the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan.

Tractors combines and other equipment manufactured by the John Deere company have long been used in the agriculture of Turkmenistan.

Agriculture in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. This is one of the most important sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan. The main types of agricultural crops grown on the territory of Turkmenistan are wheat, cotton, rice, sugar beet, fodder, vegetable, melon, fruit, and berry crops.
