BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 24. Akgala Peasant Association located in the Halach district of the Lebap region of Turkmenistan has completed the wheat harvest, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.

According to the information, 4,300 tons of grain were gathered from 1,535 hectares of sown areas, thereby exceeding the plan by 400 tons.

At the same time, it is planned to harvest over 310,000 tons of wheat in the Lebap region.

In the whole country, 690,000 hectares have been sown for wheat this year, from which 1.4 million tons of grain are planned to be gathered.

Agriculture in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. This is one of the most important sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan.

The main types of agricultural crops grown on the territory of Turkmenistan are wheat, cotton, rice, sugar beet, fodder, vegetable, melon, fruit, and berry crops.
