BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 30. Entrepreneurs of the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan produced 68.3 tons of meat from January through May 2022, which is almost 1.4 tons more than in the reporting period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.
Entrepreneurs in the region more than doubled production last year, supplying 323 tons of meat to local markets, which is 164 tons more than in 2020.
Furthermore, at the moment a lot of work is being done in Turkmenistan to develop animal husbandry, increase the number of livestock, manufacture meat and dairy products, and strengthen the feed base of the industry. The improvement of local livestock enterprises continues.
Most of the livestock production is accounted for by the private sector of Turkmenistan.
