BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 4. The total amount of transactions in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to about $14 million last week, Trend reports via “Business Turkmenistan” news agency.
Entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased aviation kerosene and hydrotreated diesel fuel produced at the Turkmenbashi Oil Processing Complex on the exchange.
At the same time, business representatives from the UAE and Turkiye purchased cotton yarn, as well as smooth-dyed and jacquard terry products.
Businessmen from the UAE purchased cotton yarn for a total amount of about 3.9 million Turkmen manats ($1.1 million) on the exchange.
Entrepreneurs from Turkmenistan purchased high-density polyethylene and handmade carpets for the domestic market on exchange for a total amount of more than 47.6 million Turkmen manats ($13.6 million).
A total of 38 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
