Turkmenistan reveals total volume of non-cash payments for 6M2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3. In Turkmenistan, the total volume of non-cash payments under the "Digital Commerce" system from January through June 2022 amounted to 276.1 million Turkmen manats ($78.8 million), Trend reports citing the Business Turkmenistan news agency.

During the specified period, the total amount of payments through the "Mobile Bank" system amounted to 6.5 million Turkmen manats ($1.8 million), and through the "Internet Bank" system - 734,900 Turkmen manats ($209,900).

Meanwhile, non-cash payments via the "Halkbank Terminal" system from January through June 2022 amounted to 13 million Turkmen manats ($3.7 million).

During the reporting period, the total non-cash turnover on bank cards in Turkmenistan amounted to 6.21 billion Turkmen manats ($1.77 billion).

Furthermore, at the beginning of December last year, during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, a Program for 2022 on the sustainable development of the national economy was adopted.
