BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 20. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a briefing on the results of the International Conference of Ministers of Transport of Landlocked Countries, held under the auspices of the UN on August 15-16, Trend reports citing the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.
The briefing was attended by heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, as well as representatives of national and foreign mass media.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov stressed that the development of transport is one of the key conditions for the stable economic development of landlocked countries, as well as the further expansion of the entire spectrum of interstate relations at the regional and international levels.
At the briefing, it was noted that this conference continues the Ashgabat process on sustainable transport and strengthens and develops its intensity in the interests of countries located in regions geographically remote from the world ocean.
