BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 24. The US intends to strengthen cooperation with Turkmenistan within the framework of the C5+1 platform, a source in the press service of the US Department of State told Trend.
"We look forward to continuing our close cooperation with Turkmenistan through the C5+1 diplomatic platform to advance our shared goals of a prosperous Central Asia. Cooperation between the governments and people of the Central Asian states is a cornerstone to advancing a stable, democratic and secure region," said the source.
It was noted that expanding bilateral security cooperation and increasing regional connectivity to improve trade, security, water and energy management are priorities for bilateral relationship and regional cooperation through the C5+1.
"We also look forward to engaging future entrepreneurs and leaders, especially including women, through professional and educational exchanges to strengthen communities that work to improve quality of life for all Turkmen citizens and sharing Turkmenistan’s rich cultural heritage on the world stage," the department said.
Meanwhile, C5+1 is a dialogue format and a platform for joint actions to solve common problems of the US and the five Central Asian states.
