BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 26. The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan from January through November 2022 increased 2.6 times compared to the same period in 2021 ($30.5 million) - up to $79.6 million, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
During this period, Turkmen exports to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $75 million, which is more than 2.8 times higher than in the same period of 2021 ($26.6 million). The share of Turkmenistan in the total volume of Kyrgyz imports in the reporting period was 0.9 percent.
Turkmenistan imported $4.5 million worth of goods from Kyrgyzstan from January through November 2022, which is 15.3 percent more than in the same period of 2021 ($3.9 million). The share of Turkmenistan in the total volume of Kyrgyz exports during this period was 0.2 percent.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover for 2022 as a whole exceeded $10.5 billion, which is 40 percent more than the figures of the first 11 months of 2021 ($7.5 billion).
