BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 3. The number of livestock at the Garagum farm, located in the Dashoguz region in the north of Turkmenistan, has been published, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, currently the farm contains 48,513 heads of small cattle, 2,439 camels and 788 heads of cattle.
At the moment, the primary attention at the enterprise is paid to increasing the number of livestock due to the improvement of breeding work, timely implementation of all zootechnical measures, placing them on pastures with good herbage, preventive measures taking into account the recommendations of specialists, which is the basis for achieving consistently high indicators.
Furthermore, the farm stores over 6,000 tons of feed for livestock.
A lot of work is being done in Turkmenistan to develop animal husbandry, increase the number of livestock, manufacturing meat and dairy products, and strengthen the feed base of the industry. The improvement of local livestock enterprises continues.
Most of the livestock production in Turkmenistan is accounted for by the private sector.
