BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 22. The total amount of transactions in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to about $109.2 million last week, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, entrepreneurs from Türkiye, the UAE and Afghanistan purchased aviation fuel and polypropylene produced at the enterprise of the Turkmennebit State Concern. Businessmen from Afghanistan bought gasoline, from China and the UAE – technical iodine.
Furthermore, businessmen from Türkiye purchased cotton yarn in the amount of 262,500 Turkmen manats ($74,900).
A total of 14 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
