BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 1. A new oil well has been built at the Barsagelmes field, located in the Balkan region in western Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, production well No. 1.321 with a depth of 1900 meters was drilled by specialists of the Nebitdagburawishmudirligi department of the Turkmennebit State Concern.
At the moment, specialists of the appropriate profile are working on the preparation of a well for commercial operation, who will determine the composition of hydrocarbons, potential, return, or flow rate of a well ready for development so that oil producers can start oil production.
Currently, the department employs 14 drilling crews capable of fulfilling the project task for the operators producing energy resources of the structures Turkmennebit State Concern.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. Its gas reserves have increased by 126 billion cubic meters as a result of the industrial development of recently discovered gas fields.
