BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 9. Turkmenistan has published data on natural gas exports via the Malai - Bagtyyarlyk gas pipeline for January 2023, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
During the reporting period, 489 million cubic meters of natural gas were exported through the pipeline. The bulk of this volume was exported to 25 provinces and autonomous regions of China.
High rates of gas production and export were achieved thanks to repaired wells at the Malai and Kerpichli gas fields.
Currently, Turkmen gas is supplied to China via three pipelines running along the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China route. Their total throughput capacity is 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
