BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 14. The total amount of transactions in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to about $39.9 million last week, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, entrepreneurs from the UK, the UAE, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan purchased polypropylene, gasoline and aviation kerosene produced at the enterprises of the Turkmennebit State Concern.
Furthermore, entrepreneurs from Turkmenistan purchased petroleum road bitumen and handmade carpets worth more than 32.6 million Turkmen manats ($9.3 million) in exchange for the domestic market.
A total of 33 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
