BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 5. Japanese NEXI (Nippon Export and Investment Insurance) agency shows interest in projects implemented in Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan.
According to the information, the possibility of the agency's work in Turkmenistan was discussed between the Turkmen Ambassador to Japan Atadurdy Bayramov, and the Executive Director and Senior General Manager of NEXI Hideyuki Urata.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on various areas of cooperation. It was about the participation of the Japanese agency in major projects that Turkmenistan is implementing on its territory.
Meanwhile, NEXI is engaged in insurance and support for Japanese exporters and investors, being subordinate to the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry of Japan. The agency insures both political and commercial risks.
Recently, Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Tokyo Atadurdy Bayramov, and State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Kenji Yamada held a meeting during which they discussed issues related to the development of comprehensive cooperation.
