BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 8. Turkmenistan exceeded the production plan for the extraction and export of natural gas from January through April this year, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Ashirguly Begliyev at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on May 4, 2023.
According to him, during the reporting period, the plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas in Turkmenistan was fulfilled by 106.4 percent, and for the production of liquefied gas - by 101.4 percent.
Furthermore, the Deputy Chairman noted that in the first four months of this year, the plan for the export of natural gas was fulfilled by 107.6 percent.
Meanwhile, according to the Turkmen Turkmengaz State Concern, the country's hydrocarbon resources are estimated at more than 71 billion tons of oil equivalent, of which more than 20 billion tons of oil and more than 50 trillion cubic meters of natural gas.
