BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18. The Turkmenabat sewing factory located in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan manufactured products worth more than 10.4 million Turkmen manats ($2.96 million) from January through March 2023, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, during the reporting period, the enterprise manufactured 9.4 percent or 900,000 Turkmen manats ($256,880) more than the planned amount.
Furthermore, the factory produced more than 300,000 Turkmen manats ($85,600) in excess of the plan in March alone.
In general, over the past year, the garment factory produced products worth more than 52.2 million Turkmen manats ($14.9 million), exceeding the plan by 47.2 percent or 16.7 million Turkmen manats ($4.7 million).
The main part of the factory's products is uniforms for the military, as well as clothing for children and adults.
Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.
