BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. Turkmenistan has sold a large batch of cotton yarn through its commodity exchange to entrepreneurs from Türkiye, Trend reports.

Turkmenistan has sold 1,300 tons of various types of cotton yarn to businessmen from Türkiye. The total amount of the transaction was $3.01 million.

At the same time, Turkmenistan also sold 500 tons of technical sulfuric acid to entrepreneurs from Türkiye for a total of $33,050 ($66.1 per ton).

Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.

In general, over the years of independence, about $2 billion were invested in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile enterprises.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
