BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 5. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicts real GDP growth of Turkmenistan in 2024 at the level of 2.1 percent, Trend reports.
According to official data, in the previous IMF forecast, Turkmenistan's real GDP growth was projected at 2.1 percent, which means that the forecast has been left unchanged, compared to the previous outlook.
The IMF adds that Turkmenistan's real GDP growth will be 2.6 percent in 2025, 2.3 percent in 2026, 2027 and 2028.
Furthermore, Turkmenistan's real GDP growth in 2022 was 1.8 percent, and in 2021 4.6 percent, the IMF notes.
Meanwhile, the government of Turkmenistan for this year predicts the country's GDP growth in 2023 at the level of 6.5 percent.
