BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 22. Turkmenistan will build service and industrial facilities for the manufacturing of medicines and medical products in the new administrative center of the Ahal region, Arkadag city, Trend reports.
According to official information, the relevant decree was signed by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Thus, according to the document, responsible government agencies are ordered to hold international tenders for the selection of contractors for the construction of enterprises.
New facilities will be erected in the first city of state significance in Turkmenistan as part of the implementation of the National Program of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052, further improving the standard of living of the population and the development of industry in the regions.
The city of Arkadag has been named the new administrative center of the Ahal region of Turkmenistan, in which approximately 70,000 people will live.
Furthermore, it is being built on an area of 950 hectares, 30 kilometers southwest of the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, and its construction was started in 2019. Almost $1.5 billion have been allocated for the project.
